Koisuru Honjima Project

This is Honjima, an island floating in the Seto Inland Sea. No karaoke, no convenience store, no clinic. On this island of “nothing at all,” I encountered the beauty of everyday life, connections with people, and the charm of history. For someone like me, living surrounded by “everything you could want” in Tokyo, it was a somehow nostalgic, almost-forgotten kind of feeling — and I fell in love with this island. That feeling is where the Koisuru Honjima (“Falling in Love with Honjima”) Project began. Aiming to grow Honjima's relational population, we practice creating a place where anyone can express themselves.
