Machi no Hondana

I've long thought about how people connect with one another. From what I felt at a student dorm and a co-creation facility — both places where I met a wide range of people — I began to sense that people could gather, meet, and learn not just within a limited community, but at a much larger scale. This project was born out of an invitation from friends I met at that student dorm. Even if people don't know each other at first, coming to this place lets them get to know one another and, from there, take on something new or build something together. That's the kind of place Machi no Hondana (“the town's bookshelf”) aims to create.
